These are the committee members of the Spiritualists National Union of WA.
We are responsible for all matters with the Union in Western Australia. You can get in touch with us through the Contact Us page.
All activities are conducted in accordance with the Constitution of the Spiritualists National Union of WA Inc. and all churches/centres affiliated with The Spiritualists National Union of WA Inc. A copy of these rules is available on request, or the constitution can be viewed here.
Object and Purposes
The object and purposes of the Church is to pursue the following charitable purposes:
(a) The advancement of the religion and religious philosophy of Spiritualism on the basis of the Seven Principles.
(b) The holding of religious services of public worship.
(c) The training of all in the principles of the religion, religious philosophy and science of Spiritualism.
(d) Such Charitable objects as may be decided upon from time to time by special resolution of the full members in a general meeting. No object shall be included which is inconsistent with the status of the Church as a religious charity.
SNU WA Executive Committee
Allison Thomas
President (Acting)
Allison holds the position of (Acting) President of the Board of Executives, Healing Guild Leader and the Members Secretary at the Rockingham Spiritualist National Union (SNU).
Her primary objective is to bring together the SNU community to achieve progress and success.
Allison is also an accredited spiritualist healing medium and always prioritises the best interests of her clients.
Vita Capelinha
1st Vice President
Vita has been a dedicated healer with SNU for many years and has always put others before herself.
She is a well-respected medium, delivering heartwarming messages at our divine services and medium nights. Vita has a special skill: in trance mediumship.
Vita is currently progressing her study towards accreditation as a healer and medium.
Christine Gregson-Sharp CSNU sd, DSNU's DNSUb, ONSU
Minister and SNU Tutor
Christine is a second-generation medium.
Christine has been associated with the SNU of WA since its conception in 1985. In 2002 Christine has held positions on the Executive Committee and for the years 2018 to 2025, Christine was President. She now enjoys retirement from any committees.
Chistine has over 30 years of experience as an international medium and studied at Arthur Findlay College, at the Spiritual Nationalist Union learning centre in the UK. Christine has been a Minister since 2015 and has dedicated her time to working in many churches.
Beverley Bryant
Minister, Healing Guild Leader and Education Officer
Andrew Thorpe
Secretary
Andrew is a medium who helps people understand that life exists beyond death and that communicating with loved ones can aid in the healing process.
He has been gifted with the ability to provide spiritual healing through communication, as well as hands-on or distant healing for those needing physical, emotional or mental relief.
Andrew has been doing healing since 2022 and is porgressing his SH1 accreditation course with SNU UK as a spiritualist healing medium.
Trish Bullock
Financial Secretary
Trish first came to the Rockingham Spiritualist Church in 1997 and attended on and off until 2010, when she started to attend weekly. In 2013 she was delighted to become a member of the church.
From 2014 to 2021 Trish was the Secretary on the SNU executive committee. After a year’s break, Trish returned to the executive committee, again as Secretary and this time fulfilling the role until 2019.
In 2023 Trish returned to the committee as Financial Secretary and started her healing training.
Sharon Deslandes
Almoner
Since a child Sharon has been curious about spiritualism. In Sharon’s working life, she raised a child by herself, worked full-time and continued to learn in her spare time.
Sharon explored skills in spirituality, becoming competent in several alternative and complementary modalities, and she coordinated a number of her services in a clinical setting.
On retirement, Sharon moved to Rockingham and was referred to the SNU WA by a friend.
She said “It has been an amazing experience, and I have found great satisfaction in working in the healing room.”
Sharon looks forward to furthering her study to enhance her abilities and understanding of healing and spirituality.
